How to have FILTERS be applied across iManager sessions.

HOW TO APPLY FILTERS ACROSS iManager sessions:

There is a way to enable by default the filters to be applied across sessions. Your filter information is always stored but it is NOT applied by default as some times it confuses users when they first connect with the iManager and forget they have a filter applied then they will say that 'only certain iAgents appear on the list.

Below are the registry settings that you can apply to enable the usage of the last remembered filter:

TO APPLY ONLY FOR THE CURRENT USER ON A MACHINE:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tridia\iTivity\Mgr]
"FilterCanApplyOnStart"=dword:00000001

TO APPLY FOR ALL USERS A 32 bit WINDOWS system:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tridia\iTivity\Mgr]
"FilterCanApplyOnStart"=dword:00000001

TO APPLY FOR ALL USERS A 64 bit WINDOWS system:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Tridia\iTivity\Mgr]
"FilterCanApplyOnStart"=dword:00000001

To apply on a Linux/UNIX system:

Edit the configuration file : /etc/iTivity/iManager.conf or the $HOME/.iTivity/iManager/iManager.conf
and change or set OR ADD the following configuration variable to :

Mgr/FilterCanApplyOnStart=1

Remember that the filter will be applied from the point forward even after the iManager exits and it will be applied to the iServer entries as well
SO a carefully constructed filter will allow you to retain the iServer AND the iAgent(s) you want only to see.
